Tida Chapman will teach students meditation, yoga poses and the importance of a healthy diet. Tida also teaches students the difference in energizing and relaxation poses.
Fencing (Jan 25-Apr 26), 4th & 5th, 3:45-4:45, $155.00
Training sessions begin with group warm-up, conditioning, footwork, and drills. Fencing continues with bouting sessions between fencers & free practice. La Reunion has electric scoring equipment for advanced bout training. Individual work with the coach is available at class for interested individuals, particularly enthusiastic beginners. Lessons are tailored to the skills and experience of each fencer.
Fitness Fun and Basketball Skill Development (Feb 22-Apr 26), 1st- 5th, 3:45-4:45, $80
Come and enjoy Fun Fitness Games and develop your basketball skills with Ms. Esteve. You will learn exciting group games such as capture the flag, mat ball, speed-ball, team bowling, group tag games and much more! Skill development in basketball will also be emphasized each week. Ms. Esteve has 14 years experience teaching physical education for grades pre-k through 12th grade. She also coached competitive basketball on the high school level. Please bring your own basketball and a water bottle. Must have a minimum of 14 students.

Capers for Kids is a creative arts organization specializing in creative drama and visual art classes for children ages 3 to 14. Founded in 1978 by Sherry (Boo) Capers, we retain a staff of professional educators who hold degrees in their respective art areas.
For twenty-three years the Capers for Kids Creative Arts School set the standard for drama and art education in the Dallas, TX area.
We sincerely believe that the skills children acquire through drama and art will enable them to better enjoy and understand this human experience. We provide an environment conducive to an atmosphere of trust. When children feel safe and certain they will not be criticized or judged, they are free to create.

Each week Kristin will share a fun picture book and lead a hands-on activity that relates to the story. Activities will vary from art to science, group games to cooking, and drama. The class will explore elements of each book and build on vocabulary skills.

The objectives of the Photography Club are:
• to introduce the students to the capabilities, use, and care of the digital camera
• to teach the students the basic operations of the digital camera
• to allow the students to learn and practice photographic composition of landscape, nature, still life, and people (both candid and formal)
• to allow the students the opportunity to practice photographing various objects in various settings, and producing these images for printing
• to produce final prints for display in a Photography Exhibit to be held at the school

Students will have access to over 28 pounds of Legos to build a city out of Imagination! This is an introduction to our new club for the 2010-11 School year. Our goal in the Lego Club 2010-11 is to build a robot!
