Student Assessment - Pre School

Preschool parents will receive an assessment of their child's progress every 12 weeks. At the end of the first 12 weeks, preschool parents are required to attend a scheduled Teacher/Parent Conference.

The Gesell Assessment is used as a tool to assess our preschool students at the Director's or teacher's discretion.

Pre K Assessment Checklist Descriptors include:

  • C - Consistently
  • M - Most of the time
  • S - Sometimes
  • TN - Time Needed for learning
  • NE - Not Evaluated at this time

Grading - Elementary

Elementary parents will receive a Report Card of their child's progress every 9 weeks. At the end of the first 9 weeks, elementary parents are required to attend a scheduled Teacher/Parent Conference.

Kindergarten through Grade 5:

Kindergarten - 3rd Grade receives numerical grades 1-4.


  • 4 - Exceeding Standards (90-100)

  • 3 - Meeting Standards (80-89)

  • 2 - Working Towards Standards (70-79)

  • 1 - Below Standards (60-69)

  • NA - Not Applicable at this time

Grades 4 & 5 receive numerical grades in percentage form in all academic subjects based on an average of grades for that quarter.

Teacher Comments

Teachers will provide individual comments each nine weeks citing student strengths and weakness, as well as offering suggestions for improvement.
