First Day of School
The first day back is Monday, August 28, 2017. Students are asked to be ready for class by 7:45AM in full uniform.
Welcome To The Kessler School!
Mission: The Kessler School creates a community of diverse learners that values individuality, instills a passion for learning, ingrains a respect for others, and promotes leadership and community service.
Vision: The Kessler School community collaborates to equip our students with skills that promote self-sufficiency and inspire positive contributions locally and globally.
It pleases me to welcome you to The Kessler School for the 2017-18 year! In support of our school’s mission, particularly the statement of instilling respect for others, I believe we should unite as a community to fulfill this responsibility. It is so necessary to do all we can to make a positive difference in the world, especially for our children. Let it be our goal to lead by example and exhibit respect for one another as a priority.
I also want to encourage you this year to appreciate every day. A wise person once said, “When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive – to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.” As a mother of two children, I realize that my sons are growing up so incredibly fast. I cannot waste a single moment. Please remind yourself to take time regularly to cherish the blessed moments with your family. You will not regret it.
It is with great pride that I announce that our TKS teachers have already begun to work tirelessly to prepare for a sensational new school year, some have worked all summer. Year after year teachers aim to achieve success in creating a community of diverse learners in a nurturing environment. Active participation in the learning process is facilitated between home and school as students learn new content and further develop their skills. Our commitment to a diversified education means children enjoy challenging opportunities in academics, creative arts, athletics, enrichment activities, community service, and more.
The Kessler School teachers and staff place high value on partnering with parents. The attached Parent Handbook has been designed to provide you with essential information and guidelines, ensuring that your child thrives in a safe and nurturing environment. I look forward to partnering with you during the year as your child grows, learns, and develops at TKS!
