A Word of Thanks...
Dear Dr. Lilly:
As you know by now, our grandsons moved back to the northeast with their parents. We are overjoyed to have them 50 miles away instead of 1400! They live in Maplewood, NJ and are happy to be back among family and friends.

The boys are doing well. I wanted to tell you how very impressed we were with The Kessler School. Each time, as proud grandparents, that we visited, we came away delighted at the professional, welcoming, value oriented atmosphere we found. We thoroughly enjoyed Grandparents Day...... the lovely ceremony in the chapel, and the art show & reception later in the day. The art program was outstanding. The general ambience is one of respect for each child, as well as bringing out the best in them.

You are doing a marvelous job as Executive Director. Thank you for the wonderful experience the boys had during the two years they were enrolled at the school.

Sincerely,

P. O'Neill
Proud grandmother

People really do notice...
From a visitor to the building..."My group meets once a month in your school in the evening. I have had the pleasure of interacting with the children from time-to-time in the hall on my way to our meeting. I am very impressed with the politeness of these children. Young or older, they are what young people are supposed to be. This world can get kinda tough sometimes, but seeing young people like yours shows me we have wonderful young leaders for the future. The hallways are always full of pictures displaying their talents. I just wanted to let you know all of this shows a great deal for the adult leaders in your school. I salute each and everyone of you. Thank You for doing such a great job." - R.Eves

What's Your Child's Learning Style?
Learning styles are formed very early in life. Different children learn in different ways, using their sense of sight, hearing, or touch to master new information. To find out whether your child is primarily a visual, auditory, or physical learner, take this quiz. Kessler School Celebrates Education with MNKA!
Many years ago, Betty Zumwalt, Tommie Smith and others started the Methodist Nursery & Kindergarten Association (MNKA) as a resource for educators with schools in area Methodist churches. On Saturday, Feb 5th, The Kessler
School continued their tradition of hosting the Annual Continuing Education Seminar, Super Saturday, at KPUMC.

This year's topics of The Home-School Connection involved literacy & mathmatics, with Brenda Folsom (a KPUMC member) and Dr.Marsha Lilly presenting. Their sessions enriched the teaching skills of more than 50 educators representing
Parents' Day Out and Early Childhood Programs in the Dallas area.

One attendee said, "Today I learned that I want to go to The Kessler School! What a fabulous place and great people. Your school is so special and makes me so envious of your staff. They have a special place to be each day.

TKS Makes ITS Mark at St. Marks
The Kessler School made its mark at the annual St. Marks Private School Preview on Sunday, Oct. 2nd. Our booth really made an impression with its color and visuals and was a standout among other schools around us. Intentionally, TKS chose to highlight its unique attention to the whole child and to what we call “specials” – Spanish, Visual Arts, Music, PE. Thanks to staff members John Mendez (Spanish) and Christie Hamric (Art), who were there to answer questions and to give personalized attention, passers by couldn’t help but become engaged. We also engaged children with manipulatives with while their parents talked. The outstanding art, the PowerPoint presentation and the professional literature we had available left quite an impression! CLICK PHOTOS LINK TO SEE THE EVENT!
