COOKING WITH CLASS - Instructor Danielle Dupuis

K-6th:  Join Ms. Dupuis for a student centered cooking class designed to make popular dishes. This class will increase the student's interest in learning about culinary skills/recipes that they can easily adapt at home.  Older students will have opportunities to lead as sous chefs!

FITNESS STARS - by Stretch-n-Grow

It's a fun, action-packed fitness class where kids learn strength, endurance, flexibility, balance and how healthy foods fuel their bodies.  Your students will develop focus and gain self control from physical activity that will help with school and sports readiness and skyrocket them to their next milestone...all while making friends and having FUN!  Students will receive a tie-dye Stretch-n-Grow t-shirt.

DRAMA - Presented by Dallas Children's Theater

Students, with the help of their instructor, will either create their own play or adapt a well-known story for the class.  During the process of creating and rehearsing the play, students will learn about basic theatrical terms and staging techniques.  The goal is to prepare the students to do a performance at their own school during the final class.

SOCCER SHOTS - Instructor Logan Misegades

Soccer Shots is an engaging children’s soccer program with a focus on character development. Our caring team positively impacts children’s lives on and off the field through best-in-class coaching, communication and curriculum. Our coaches are the best-trained in the business. Our expert-approved curriculum is age-appropriate and aligns with childhood education standards. In addition, we provide an exceptional customer experience and ongoing communication with parents.

Our weekly 30-40 minute sessions focus on basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing and shooting. Through fun games and positive reinforcement, children will begin to experience the joy of playing soccer and being active. We also highlight a positive character trait each session such as respect, teamwork and appreciation. Each student will receive one Soccer Shots Jersey per school year.

YOGA STARS - by Stretch-n-Grow

With our engaging weekly sessions, our Stars explore simple yoga poses with songs, props and stories. Our creative curriculum to have your Yoga Stars increasing their endurance, concentration and confidence!  Students will receive a yoga mat of their own to use during class and can take home when class ends in December.

LITTLE GENIUSES CHESS - Instructor Coach Burnes from The Knight School

This preschooler-only chess class specifically developmentally targets our preschoolers with puppet shows, fast chess clocks, playing chess for mardi-gras beads, collecting 25 colorful silicone wristbands, zany movies, hilarious songs, fun chess tourneys, and a great, fun spirit that makes kids never leave chess and gain problem-solving ability and academic confidence each week.

THE KNIGHT SCHOOL - Instructor Coach Burnes from The Knight School

This revolutionary, party-based approach to chess has had amazing success because our unique and unprecedented educational philosophy, “the chess party,” is the perfect way to transform a complete beginner into a devastating chess machine. We simply invite every beginner in your school to join our school chess team and we use only super-fun teaching methods such as super-fast chess clock-slapping chess games, zany chess videos, a strict bully-free environment, silicone wristbands for tactics mastery, chess puzzlers for candy, driving music, hilarious tactics-lesson videos, and Mardi-Gras bead chess tournaments each day we practice. In this kid-centered classroom environment, we teach our kids every cool trick, strategy, opening, and tactic in chessdom and our kids soon learn to love and master chess and to masterfully control their classrooms, sports fields, and home lives as well!

CODING, SCRATCH & KEYBOARD SKILLS - Instructor Danielle Dupuis

Student's imaginations will be enriched learning programming basics with applications from Tynker, Code.Org and Scratch (developed by MIT) through interactive computer science programming. Kids think creatively, while learning how to program their own stories, games, and animations. Introduces students to object-oriented programming through creating fun and simple games.  In addition, students will work on proficiency with keyboarding skills.

YOUNG ARTISTS - by Oil and Cotton

Designed especially for the young artist who is eager to engage. Explore a variety of art-making materials and concepts, while learning about artists from history and around the world. This small class fosters creative expression, motor skill development, classroom etiquette, and art tool safety.

STUDIO ARTISTS - by Oil and Cotton

Dedicate time in the studio to make your own ideas manifest in works of drawing, painting, sculpture, and collage. We will keep a sketchbook practice as well as develop new techniques for self expression and growing our artist voices.

 2nd - 5th (4:15-5:00) - $430.00

DANCE STARS - by Stretch-n-Grow

With Dance Stars, your student will learn the fundamentals of ballet, jazz and hip-hop while developing grace, coordination, balance and poise.  By inspiring a passion for dance, this imaginative and engaging class will create twirling, self expressive machines.  PLUS, your family will get to experience a recital performance the last week of class (depending on CDC guidelines at the time.)  Your student will receive a costume and dance shoes for the recital.

SUPERHERO & PRINCESS - by DFW Institute for Musical Advancement

Find yourself through Marvel and Disney characters! Learn Disney songs, play princess and superhero games through creative movement, crafts, imagination, and etiquette. Learn how to talk, sing and dance like a true Superhero and Princess. Students will create props and perform a short routine for family and friends at the end of the week!

LEADERSHIP & MUSIC - by DFW Institute for Musical Advancement

 As a partner of The Royal Conservatory, DIMA is proud to exclusively provide this one of a kind class in the DFW area designed around the RCM curriculum. This class uses music, drama and speech to help your student develop their voice, presence and confidence to be future musicians and leaders of DFW and beyond!

FROM DISNEY TO BROADWAY - by DFW Institute for Musical Advancement

See your child take the big stage! In this class, students explore what it takes to be a Broadway star. By the end of our time together, your child will grow in knowledge and confidence showcased in a fabulous final performance!
