TKMS follows the Teacher’s College Workshop Model for Humanities and use STEM thought processes for cross-curricular connections. Leadership requirements are built in the schedule, with additional club options available to all.

Off-campus experiences and community projects are an integral part of the middle school experience at The Kessler School, allowing students make authentic, real-world connections to curriculum while learning to value local, community resources. STEM instructions are led by the team at Mad Science; Visual Arts led by local artists from Oil and Cotton, and a Performing Arts partnership Lakewood Conservatory of Fine Arts. Students also participate in weekly, on-campus Public Speaking, Innovations and Entrepreneurship, and Genius Hour electives.
