Generosity Runs Deep at TKS
TKS was founded in 1999 by visionary community leaders. Each of those founders had their own ideas of how and why TKS was successful from its launch, but they all universally agreed on this: without question, the collective generosity of the community was the key. And generosity is exactly what will launch our school into the next quarter century!
The TKS Community comes together throughout the year to power the unique TKS experience. Three times each year, 100% of families are challenged to give during TKS Annual Fund campaigns. Additionally, 50% of TKS Parents accept the invitation join the 1999 Society each year to fund the TKS "Margin of Excellence." Many parents, present and past, as well as long-time Oak Cliff neighbors, have also stepped up in support of the new TKS Campus through the Building Our Future Campaign. The TKS Annual Fund
The mission of the TKS Annual Fund is to create an UNLIMITED student experience at The Kessler School, an educational experience second-to-none in Oak Cliff and one rivaling all schools in the Metroplex.
The TKS Annual Fund is powered by 100% family participation in each of the following campaigns: North Texas Giving Day for Student Enrichment, Holiday Giving for Faculty Staff Excellence, and Spring into Springtime for Academics.
"Building Our Future" Campaign
Over 20 years ago, The Kessler School was established as a place for North Oak Cliff and the Dallas Metroplex to provide quality education to our neighboring communities. Having a space to call our own has been a dream for our school for over two decades.
The 1999 Society
The 1999 Society Members fund the "Margin of Excellence" by supporting TKS Academics that rigorously prepare students for their next level, enhancing the Student Experience that uniquely shapes their world perspective, and empowering Faculty and Staff to strive for excellence to cultivate a continued passion for learning.
