Building a Stronger Tomorrow

Red Ribbon Week
October is the month that the Red Ribbon Week campaign is observed across the nation providing drug awareness and healthy living. This year's slogan is #YOLO (You Only Live Once). We will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week from October 24th-27th. That week, students will be allowed to come to school in free dress as long as they are wearing the themed clothing for the day. On Monday - Wednesday, students must wear uniform bottoms and shoes. On Thursday, students must wear athletic shoes with their costume (if they want to change after the parade then it must be into uniform clothing).

Pumpkins Due Monday!
Don't forget about our annual Pumpkin Book Festival family project. Pick your favorite family book and decorate a small (pie size) pumpkin to look like one of the characters. Any craft items can be used to add to the pumpkin, but please do NOT puncture the pumpkin because it will rot quickly. This is an OPTIONAL project for families to do together at home. Decorated pumpkins (along with the book) will be due Monday, October 17th, for display in the library. Please drop your pumpkin off in the library when arriving to school. All the classes will have the opportunity that day to take a pumpkin walk to see the creative work.
