100 Days Smarter
Today marks the 100th day of school at TKS!
Book Shopping in the Classroom
We are proud to announce that every one of our kindergarten through 6th grade classrooms has its very own classroom library rich with beautiful books. These books are used daily for instruction during Reading Workshop. Students have the freedom to choose books they love in their individual reading levels, and the teachers work on teaching them skills they can apply to their independent reading.
New Crosswalk for the Kessler Park Community
A new crosswalk is now installed at Winnetka and W. Colorado. Starting in the Fall of 2016, Jacqueline Chen and Cindy Craine lead this initiative and worked closely with the City of Dallas Streets department to make this new, safe crossing a reality. A number of TKS families currently get to enjoy a walk to school for drop-off and pick-up. This crosswalk will now be a safer way for these families and future families to make a healthy commute to TKS and to cross W. Colorado Blvd. Honk your horn for approval if you see a TKS friend using the new crosswalk!
