Important Information

3/6/2017

Tuesday's P.I.N.
Please join us at the next Parent Info Night on Tuesday, March 7th at 6PM in the art room! Along with information presented by the Head of School and the PTO, Emily Riggert (Kinder- 2nd grade art teacher) will be discussing one aspect of our art program. Ms. Riggert will lead a demonstration of Artful Thinking, a teaching strategy she uses regularly in the classroom. Artful Thinking was originally developed by Harvard Project Zero, and Emily was trained in this teaching style while she worked on the Museum Education team at the Crow Collection of Asian Art. The goal of the Artful Thinking program is to help students develop thinking dispositions that support thoughtful learning – in the arts, and across school subjects.

Child care and dinner for children will be provided at $10/child. Please RSVP to Donna Prince by Monday at 5PM, if you plan to bring your child.

Lunch Order Link
It is time to reorder lunches for Tacodeli Tuesdays and Chic-fil-A Thursdays running from March 21st to the last day of school. For your convenience, we now have an online ordering system. Please visit the site to order for your child. Deadline for Tacodeli orders is Thursday, March 9th. Deadline for Chic-fil-A orders is Sunday, March 19th.
Creative Costume Makers
If you have even the smallest creative bone in your body and need some volunteer hours, please let us know. We are looking for volunteers to help make costumes for our Safari Spring Musical in April. Please contact Fran Pearson, if you are interested in costume design. It can even been done in the comfort of your own home.
African Story Teller
All the PreK-6th grade students thoroughly enjoyed the time with Baba Leo, the African story teller who visited from Bishop Arts Theatre Center on Tuesday.
