We Will Miss You, Mr. Meadows
Retirement Announcement
Our beloved Mr. Robert Meadows has decided it is time to retire. He has worked as our TKS maintenance man for over 5 years. Mr. Meadows has always been a wonderful asset to our school and he will be greatly missed! His last day will be Friday, September 13th. He promises to come back and do handy work for us from time to time. Please take the opportunity to wish him well next week and remind him of how much we appreciate all he has done for TKS. It will be a bittersweet farewell!
TKS Annual Fund: Building A Stronger Tomorrow
Our 2019-20 TKS Annual Fund officially kicked off this week! We are grateful to have TKS parents, Sue Batterton and Peter Short, as this year's co-chairs for the TKS Annual Fund, along with an amazing group of classroom captains, to help lead our goal to raise $100,000 with 100% TKS participation. A number of families have already scheduled contributions through FACTS which is greatly appreciated. In addition, 100% of our Faculty, Staff and Board of Trustees have committed their support. Make your gift online and select the option to either scheduled a contribution (FACTS), or donate now!

screenings on campus the week of September 16th. The optional screenings are available to all children ages two and up. Speech and language screening is purposed to identify children who need further evaluation in the areas of speech and language and provides information regarding your child’s articulation, expressive language, receptive language, and social language. The attached form will be sent home with all students today and is due back on Thursday, Sept. 12th.
First Parent Info Night (PIN)
Our first PIN of the school year will be Tuesday, September 10th at 6PM in the library. The evening will begin with a focused topic of discussion, followed by PTO updates and announcements. The first topic will be "The Importance of The School & Home Connection" led by Roselle Carlino and Vanessa Ullmann. Amy Casto, our PTO President, will end the evening with lots of valuable PTO information. There will also be treats for parents!
Childcare and a pizza dinner will be provided for TKS students by the PTO during all PINs. Please RSVP to Amy Kirchhoff by Monday, September 9th, with the name and age of your child attending.

Featured TeacherMs. O'Reilly, PreKII Teacher Interviewed by Sofia Valencia (5th Grade) Ms. O'Reilly became a teacher because she loves children and she loved her teachers growing up. Outside of work, she likes cooking and reading books. Her favorite food is pizza! If she wasn't a teacher, she would work with animals in some way. This is Ms. O'Reilly's 11th year in education and first month at TKS! |
