Fourth Graders visit Dallas Police Station!
Read Across America
The NEA National Read Across America Day for 2018 is Friday, March 2nd, which is also Dr. Seuss's birthday! TKS will celibrate this day by wearing Dr. Seuss style (red and white stripes) shirts and socks with uniform bottoms and shoes. We will also be having a morning school-wide read-a-thon. Everyone in the building (faculty and staff included) will be reading a book from 8:10-8:30AM in the hallways and classrooms!

Congratulations to Logan Foster!

Our very own Logan Foster (5th grader) was accepted as 2nd violin in TPSMEA Middle School Honor Orchestra. She worked hard preparing the music and has seen tremendous growth in her violin playing. In practicing with the Bishop Dunne High School strings group, Logan has acquired experience in ensemble performance. Way to go, Logan!

Reminder: Reading Pet Photos Wanted
Ms. Dupuis would like all TKS students and faculty to gear up for our April 2018 TKS Spring Book Fair--- PAWS TO READ.  To get ready for the big event, all students and TKS faculty are invited to make time to read with their pets, take a picture while reading with the pets, and then print your picture to go up on the PAWS To READ bulletin board that will be going up early March.

Did you know that research teams at U.C. Davis and Tufts University have some dog-gone "grrreat" news? Turns out that children who read aloud to therapy dogs or shelter cats on a regular basis demonstrate drastic improvement in their reading skills! Just think - reading to your own pets at home is good for you, too!

Stay PAWS-ITIVE and Read! WOOF-WOOF!
Social Entrepreneur Business Expo
The 5th grade students have been working hard on their SEBE projects to raise money for Gypsy Dogs, their TKS Cares Charity. Please be sure to send your child with cash to buy pet products and more on March 5th & 6th. Please read their flyer attached.
